I am the owner of a pair of dachshunds Jack and Jill . Jill who is the lady of the manor is only seventeen pounds and Jack comes in at nineteen pounds. Someone elses bad luck was my luck as the previous owners passed away 3 years ago about a year apart. I had never plotted to breed these wonderful dogs. .Ive had three litters so far .I cant imagine a more friendly kind of dog after owning them. I was truly sad being away when Jill had her 1st litter. . She surprised me a little bit by the speed at which she had the pupss. We found more puppies behind the toilet,one was still in the sack and not breathing.

Jill was terrified of her little gruesome bundle of dachshund joy aka her dachshund puppies . I had to lay her down and put the dog on her to suckle . Luckily about an hour or so later Jill took to the new little fellow so we were all delighted. . We thought we only had the 2 pups after looking around and finding no more.

Two hours later it was bed time and we moved upstairs. We took Jill and her baby dachsund up with us so we could keep an eye on them. . After getting her settled in a box my husband went to shut the light off. . As he was hitting the switch he listened a puppy whimper .

He tardily peeked behind the door as he didnt want to scare anyone. . There he found another living pup laying in my other dogs bed with her. . Jade was stripping the hapless little chap . I forgot to mention Jade is a 90 pound pit bull so you can guess my husbands gobsmacked when he saw little and large .

Jade has never had a dachshund before . She does however produce milk when Jill has puppies . Jill is only too happy to allow Jade feast her new litter when they arrive into the world. They lay with her all the time. Jill is aware only too well that the pups couldnt be looked after better by anybody else so herself and Jade have come to an accord. They sleep in one big pile Skippy,Jill,Jade and the babies. .

The miniature dachshund has a number of baby sitters. . They plunge themselves from a great distance onto poor old Jade yet she likes it . All she does is waggle her tail and puts her paw on them to mess with them . It's funny seeing her leap at them and they jump right back .I dont understand how she does it but none of the pups have ever been harmed.
